Rock Island Girls Softball League was formed in 1971 by Mrs. Sam Armetta, who was interested in providing a summer-time softball program for girls. The program not only provides recreation and the opportunity for the girls to develop their individual and collective talents, but also strives to install fundamentally good habits and attitudes towards competition, sportsmanship, and teamwork. This ideology is still in place today.
9-13 Year Old Tournament Rain-outs Parents, players, and coaches – Due to the heavy rains, Wednesday’s and Thursday’s games have been moved back one day. Wednesday’s games will be played at the scheduled times and fields on Thursday and Thursday’s games will be played on Friday.
Friday's games will be played Saturday morning at the new field. Please see the schedule under the 9-13 division on this website for times.
